The Hellenic Women’s Club, Inc. (EOK) was established in Boston in 1936 by seven women of Greek descent and is believed to be the oldest Greek American organization of its kind in the United States. The original purpose of the Club was to raise money for orphans as part of the Greek War Relief effort. Today, its 40 dedicated members offer their talent, energy and spirit to the continued mission of charity.
Through successful fundraising, over $850,000 has been gifted in the past decade to a myriad of established charities that include local Boston hospitals, the EOK Breast Cancer Research Foundation known as the Demetra Fund, homeless shelters, scholarship funds, the Philoxenia House and many other organizations in the Boston area and beyond. Each year, additional philanthropic gifts are distributed for cultural, educational, religious and medical programs to meet the changing needs of society.
We invite you to become involved and support our fundraising.
