2024 EOK Scholarship Applications are live!

The EOK scholarship program is for deserving young women who have demonstrated community service, leadership, and academic achievement. Previous applicants may apply but must submit a new application. Prior recipients are not eligible. 

Each award will be $5,000.00.

Completed application and all required materials must be submitted by June 30, 2024


EOK SCHOLARSHIPS

In 2011, the EOK Scholarship Fund was established in recognition of The Hellenic Women's Club's 75th anniversary. Each year, scholarships of $5,000 are awarded at The Mistletoe Ball based on academic merit, community service and leadership efforts. To date, the EOK has given over $405,000 to women of Greek descent who are dedicated to pursuing their higher education goals.


Meet our 2023 scholars

Athina Barbieri
At Brandies University, Athina is in the Pre-med program studying Psychology.  She has served as the Junior Advisor for the Town of Belmont Community Education Board, has been a member of the Greek Cultural Dance troop since 2013 and as president, revived her local Maids of Athena making it the largest chapter in the country.  

Ashley Davidson
In her Junior year at The University of Massachusetts Lowell, Ashley is studying psychology.  With a strong commitment to her community, she has been a counselor at the Metropolis of Boston camp, a church school teacher, a member of Goya and an active volunteer at the Jake Koshivos memorial golf tournament.  

Evyenia Georges
Evyenia is a Biology major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she continues to lead the organization Wipe Out Stigma.  Founded by her in 2021, this group raises awareness that promotes positive mental health for the youth of Massachusetts.  She also holds leadership positions for the National Youth Advisory Council and the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America.

Mary Markis
Mary is a freshman at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.  While a student at Wellesley High School, she earned the Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn, by creating the “Girls Got Grit Club” to promote self -confidence, body positivity, and healthy living for middle school students.  As an athlete, Mary played field hockey, cross country, and was captain of her basketball team.

Anna Zannetos
Anna is in her first year at Stanford Law School. After graduating from Harvard College, she taught 5th graders in the Boston public school system and worked for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  With a commitment to equity and social justice in academia, Anna has worked with the Lumina Foundation to advocate for institutional change. 

Thea Johnson
A recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a double major in literature and German, Thea is now enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.   As a servant leader, Thea’s focus has been on youth ministries such as the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival, Orthodox Christian Fellowship and various youth camps.

Theona Tully
A freshman at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Theona is studying Psychology with an interest in Child Development.  At Noshoba Regional High School, Theona spent two years as a certified EMT cadet, was president of both the American Red Cross Club and the American Sign Language Club and, has been a Girl Scout since first grade.
